The Anthony F. Cordeiro Charitable Foundation has awarded $15,000 through its first 2026 grant cycle to four nonprofits making a difference in Fall River and across Southeastern Massachusetts.

Greater Fall River Re-Creation received $5,000 for Mae’s Playground, an inclusive play space for children of all abilities. Foxboro-based Confikids Inc. was awarded $5,000 to help Fall River children participate in sports, arts and enrichment programs. Forever Paws Animal Shelter received $3,000 for veterinary care, including spay and neuter procedures, while Fall River Deaconess Home received $2,000 to provide backpacks and school supplies to approximately 75 young people.

Since 2018, the Foundation has distributed more than $300,000 to area nonprofits. Applications are now open for its second 2026 funding cycle, with a December 31 deadline for eligible organizations serving Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
