We are proud to share that Anthony F. Cordeiro has been named the 2026 recipient of the Roger Valcourt Outstanding Citizen Award — the highest honor presented by One SouthCoast Chamber of Commerce.
The award was presented at a sold-out dinner celebration held at Venus de Milo in Swansea, Massachusetts, drawing community leaders, business partners, and supporters from across the SouthCoast region to recognize Tony’s decades of service, leadership, and lasting impact on the communities he calls home.
Named in memory of Roger Valcourt, a beloved business and civic leader who passed away in 1979, the award is given each year to an individual whose volunteer service and leadership have made a meaningful and enduring contribution to the SouthCoast region. This year, that person is Tony Cordeiro.
Tony is the founder of Cordeiro Properties and Downtown Development Companies, the President and CEO of the Anthony F. Cordeiro Insurance Agency, and the Founder and Chairman of the Anthony F. Cordeiro Charitable Foundation — which has awarded more than $300,000 to local nonprofits over the past nine years. His work spans real estate, insurance, and community investment, all rooted in a deep belief in the potential of Fall River and the surrounding region.
“We know this city, we believe in its potential,” Tony has said of Fall River — and this recognition is a testament to a career built on exactly that belief.
