The Anthony F. Cordeiro Charitable Foundation has awarded six grants totaling $15,000 to local nonprofits in Fall River, R.I., during its second grant cycle of 2019. This brings the foundation’s total grants for the year to $55,000. The foundation aims to support families and children facing challenges by providing access to essential resources such as health services, food, and shelter.

The recipients of the recent grants include Angels Anonymous, which received $2,500 to assist families and veterans in need; Atlantis Charter School, awarded $5,000 to enhance career development programs; and Forever Paws Animal Shelter, which received $1,000 for facility improvements. Other beneficiaries include Hope Health Hospice, Katie Brown Educational Program, and Southcoast Hospital Group, each receiving funding to support various community-focused initiatives. The foundation is currently accepting applications for its first round of funding in 2020, with a deadline of June 30.
